NO SURPRISES ACT
The No Surprises Act was included as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 and was signed into law on December 27, 2020. The Act aims to protect patients from "surprise" medical bills for out-of-network services, and it includes provisions related to billing and reimbursement for out-of-network services provided by healthcare providers.
You can find detailed information about the No Surprises Act on the official website of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Here is the link to the page dedicated to the No Surprises Act on the HHS website: No Surprises Act Information
This page provides an overview of the Act, its provisions, and the protections it offers to patients. It also includes additional resources to help stakeholders understand and comply with the requirements of the No Surprises Act.
"No Surprises Act Disclosure: Anew U Counseling Services seeks to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including the No Surprises Act. Our practice works with most health insurance plans and will bill these plans for covered services provided to you. We strive to provide clear and accurate information about how health care services are billed and encourage you to fully understand your insurance benefits. If you receive care from an out-of-network provider or service in our office, you may be responsible for additional fees that are not covered by your insurance plan. We encourage you to contact your insurance company and review your policy details to avoid any unexpected costs for care. If you have any questions or concerns about billing and payment, please do not hesitate to contact our office for help."
